Zig Zag Ribbed Vest

This is a pattern for a men's V-neck vest with zig zag texture and vertical ribbing. The pattern is taken from the Woolworths Economy Knitting Book no. 23. This book is from the 1940s and features women’s and men’s clothing items, including sweaters, cardigans and dresses. 

The size is for a 38 inch chest. 

Materials required:

• 8 skeins Woolworth’s Super 4-ply fingering wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 13 stitches x 17 rows for 2 x 2”. 
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.
