Winter Time Chic Jacket

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a sweet jacket style sweater with buttons down the front, a striped pattern across the bodice, and contrast collar and sleeves. The pattern is taken from Sun Glo series 47. This book is from the 1940s and featured women’s garments, mostly sweaters and tops. 

This pattern is made to fit a 32-34 inch bust, with instructions for a 36 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 6-8 skeins Sun-Glo Shrinkproof 4-ply fingering weight wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 13 stitches x 17 rows for 2 x 2 inches. 
• Knitting needles size UK 9/3.75mm. 
• 11 small buttons. 
• 1 crochet hook.
