Madame Weigel's
Two-Tone Cardigan
Two-Tone Cardigan
This is a vintage knitting pattern for a two tone cardigan in a check pattern, with a contrasting button placket and a V neckline. Interestingly, the pattern includes instructions to crochet buttons in matching wool instead of purchasing them, which is in line with the ‘make do and mend’ efforts of the time. The pattern is taken from Madame Weigel’s monthly Journal of Fashion from September of 1944, which included mail order sewing patterns, knitting patterns, recipes and homemaking advice.
This pattern is made to fit a 34 inch bust.
