Tango Cabled Sweater

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a lovely little cabled sweater with ribbing around the neckline and hem. The pattern is taken from the Patons & Baldwins Knitting Book No. 182. This book is from the 1940s and featured women’s jumper and cardigan patterns, each named after a style of dance. 

This pattern is made to fit a 32-34 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 7 ozs Patons Beehive fingering, 3 plyl. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 1 pattern to 1.5 inches in width.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.
• 2 small buttons. 
• Cotton wool.
