Rainbow Jumper

This is a vintage knitting pattern for the Rainbow Jumper, a gorgeous little jumper using five different colours of yarn, which makes it perfect for using scraps. This pattern is wildly popular in the vintage knitting community, which has only increased since the release of the film Jojo Rabbit (2019) which features the pattern. 

There are two sizes, for a 32 and 34 inch bust. Note: I knit mine to fit a 38" bust by following the exact instructions, but knitting on 4mm needles in DK weight yarn. 

Materials required:

• 7-8 ozs Lister's Lavenda 3 ply yarn. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 6.5 stitches to the inch in width.
• Knitting needles size UK 8/4mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.
• 2 small buttons.
