Mentone Cotton Jumper

This is a vintage knitting pattern a cotton jumper with eyelets and intarsia colour blocking. The pattern is taken from a special ‘Summer Knitting’ booklet designed for garments to be knit in cotton. This book is from the 1940s and featured women’s garments to be worn in the summer months. 

This pattern is made to fit a 34 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 10 ozs cotton (5 of each colour). This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 6.5 stitches to the inch.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm. 
• 4 buttons. 
• 1 medium sized crochet hook.
