Lightweight Blouse

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a lightweight summer blouse in 2ply yarn, with puffed short sleeves and a square neckline. The pattern is taken from Madame Weigel’s monthly Journal of Fashion from September of 1944, which included mail order sewing patterns, knitting patterns, recipes and homemaking advice. 

This pattern is made to fit a 34 inch bust, but includes some brief instructions for resizing the body of the sweater. 

Materials required:

• 5 ozs Woolworths 2-ply knitting wool.  

• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.

• Knitting needles size UK 13/2.25mm.
