Foxtrot Texture Sweater

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a long sleeved sweater with interesting texture all over, a breast pocket, and textured bobbles across the neckline, cuffs and hem in place of ribbing. The pattern is taken from the Patons & Baldwins Knitting Book No. 182. This book is from the 1940s and featured women’s jumper and cardigan patterns, each named after a style of dance. 

This pattern is made to fit a 33-34 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 9 ozs Patons Beehive fingering, 3 ply. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 1 pattern to 7/8 inches in width.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• 4 buttons. 
• Cotton wool.
