- 10 skeins Sun Glo 'shrinkproof' 4 ply fingering wool in white, and 3 skeins in blue, which can be substituted with modern materials to achieve specified gauge of 7 stitches x 9 rows for 1 x 1 inch square.
- Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm
- Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm
- Crochet hook
- Press studs
