Denise Chevron Jumper

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a sweet little cap-sleeved sweater with three colours of chevron blocks. The pattern is taken from the Patons & Baldwins Knitting Book No. 323. This book is from the early 1950s and featured women’s jumper and cardigan patterns with accentuated waists typical of the ‘New Look’ fashion trend at the time. 

This pattern has three sizes, to fit a 32-33, 34-35 or 36-37 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 7-9 ozs of Patons Azalea crochet wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 8 stitches to the inch.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.
• 4 buttons. 
• Crochet hook.
