Colourwork Bolero

This is a pattern for a super cute bolero with colourwork patterns. The original base colour in the pattern was blue, with navy, white and red for the colourwork. The pattern is taken from the Woolworths Economy Knitting Book no. 23. This book is from the 1940s and features women’s and men’s clothing items, including sweaters, cardigans and dresses. 

The size is for a 32-34 inch bust. 

Materials required:

• 10 skeins Woolworth’s Super 4-ply fingering wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 13 stitches x 17 rows for 2 x 2”. 
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
