Classic Twin Set

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a classic twin set with lovely cable twists on the sweater and cardigan, a high neckline, and long sleeves. The pattern is taken from the Lux Book of 1950, a collection of family patterns including women’s, men’s and children’s garments. 

This pattern is made to fit a 32-34 inch bust.

Materials required for jumper:

• 7 ozs 3-ply crepe wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 8 stitches x 10 rows for 1 x 1 inches in pattern. 

• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.

• Knitting needles size UK 12/2/75mm. 

• DPNs size UK 13/2.25mm. 

• 1 cable needle.

• 9 ozs 3-ply crepe wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 8 stitches x 10 rows for 1 x 1 inches in pattern. 

• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.

• Knitting needles size UK 12/2/75mm. 

• DPNs size UK 13/2.25mm. 

• 1 cable needle. 

• 11 buttons.
