Candy Stripes Sweater

This pattern is for a wonderful classic 40s striped sweater, with ribbing, structured shoulders and so many opportunities for different colour combinations. We love using up scraps and secondhand wool here at VKP and stripes make the perfect opportunity for this! This listing is for a PDF digital download pattern, and this pattern is from the 1940s. The book this pattern is taken from is the Sun-Glo Series 66 knitting book, and this pattern is numbered 2718, called 'Candy Stripes'. 

This sweater fits a bust measurement of 32/34 inches, with instruction to size up to a 36 inch bust by increasing your needle size. 

Materials required:

- 4-5 skeins main colour, and 3-4 skeins contrast colour Sun-Glo 'Shrinkproof' or 'Sunbeam' 3 ply fingering wool, or modern equivalent to achieve tension of 7 stitches x 9 rows, in 1 x 1 inches. 

- Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm

- Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm

- 4 small buttons
