Campus Casual Pinafore

This is a vintage knitting pattern for the Campus Casual pinafore, no. 2890. This pinafore is so cute! Available with a skirt knit in three pieces, and either 'straps' seen in the bottom right inset photo, or a 'jacket' as seen in the main photo, you have the option to customise how you'd like the pinafore to be worn. The pattern is taken from the Sun-Glo Knitting Book Series 73. This book is from the 1940s and features women’s frocks, or jacket and skirt combinations. 

The size is for a 32-34 inch bust, however includes instructions on how to alter the sizes with choices from a 36” bust, 40” bust or 44” bust. 

Materials required:

• 18 skeins Sun-Glo Shrinkproof or Sunbeam 3 ply fingering weight wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 7 stitches x 9 rows for a 1 x 1” square.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm. 
• Crochet hook. 
• 9 buttons. 
• 6 press studs.
