Ballet Cabled Sweater

This is a vintage knitting pattern for a the sweetest little short sleeve sweater with all over cable details and a fold over ribbed neckline. The pattern is taken from the Patons & Baldwins Knitting Book No. 182. This book is from the 1940s and featured women’s jumper and cardigan patterns, each named after a style of dance. 

This pattern is made to fit a 33-35 inch bust.

Materials required:

• 5 ozs Patons Beehive fingering, 2 ply. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 1 pattern to 1.5 inches in width.
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.
• 4 buttons. 
• Cotton wool.
• Medium sized crochet hook.
