Ankle Socks

This pattern is for some very cute ankle socks with contrasting colours on the turn-down tops. The listing is for a digital download of a vintage knitting pattern, and the pattern is taken from the Lux Book of 1941, which was published featuring a variety of patterns for different ages. 

This sock measures a 9.5 inch foot, but the length is adjustable. 

Materials required:

• 2 ozs 3-ply fingering weight wool for the main colour, and 1 oz 4-ply fingering weight wool for the contrast. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 21 stitches x 28 rows, to 2 x 2 inch .
