Angora Striped Jumper
Angora Striped Jumper
This is a vintage knitting pattern for an angora jumper with narrow horizontal stripes, and small cap sleeves. The pattern used a variation of dark to light colours for the stripes, but also mentions that you can use scrap wool, which we love the idea of. The pattern is taken from the Lux Book of 1950, a collection of family patterns including women’s, men’s and children’s garments.
This pattern is made to fit a 32-34 inch bust.
Materials required:
-
1 oz 3-ply crochet wool in 5 different colours, and 3 balls of ‘Fuzzy-Wuzzy’ angora in a light colour, as well as 2 balls in a slightly darker colour for the gradient of the sweater. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 7.5 stitches x 10 rows for 1 x 1 inches.
